One of the two doors bent/warped in 2 weeks

After spending a lot of money to have this installed, I see that the door has bent slightly and it is now harder to close (scrapes against the wall/baseboard). Such a disppoinment! I am still giving 3 stars for the one door that hasn't warped yet and overall look.

Quality door for DIY project!

Love this door! My husband is very handy, so assembly wasn't too difficult. Directions are sparse though! Pretty self explanatory. I did a little distress painting on the X to make it stand out more. Very pleased with the final look.

Defective part, good customer service. Sturdy door.

The door is fairly easy to put together, but it required a bit of DIY on my end. Some issues I encountered:1) The bottom horizontal slat did not have dowel holes drilled on one side. I asked customer service to send me a new piece. They opted to settle for a $30 credit, which I accepted. So, I drilled the holes myself. I don't own a drill press, and I think I did an OK job measuring and centering, but the door was just hard to get together after that. I'm not sure this was the root cause. Everything is so precisely measured, it's hard to tell what was off.2) After getting it together one side vertical slat DIY was about 1/16" off (not flush w/ the top or bottom) This was not the side I had to drill myself. This wasn't a big deal, but it meant accounting for that offset when mounting the hardware to the top, so that it would hang level. Not ideal, but not terrible.3) The cross pieces did not align. They were slightly too big, so I had to plane them down to fit. Again, not ideal, but not terrible.4) This isn't the fault of the door company so much as a failure of the Amazon recommendation system. I purchased the "frequently bought" hanging system: SMARTSTANDARD 6.6ft Heavy Duty Sturdy Sliding Barn Door Hardware Kit. The problem is, the instructions are very precise, and they all rely on the fact that the holes are drilled so many inches from the top of the door (the top hole being 2", I believe... maybe, I might be wrong here). The problem is that drilling in this location, you come dangerously close to the screw that holds the side panel on. So to play it safe, I went a little higher. This resulted in having to do a lot of planning / sketching / calculating to be sure where to mount the header board. I did Okay. My door hange about 3/16" off of the floor. They recommend 3/8. As a result the roller guide hardware I purchased separately will not fit under the door. So, that's another problem I have to solve. Again, not really the fault of the door, so this doesn't affect the rating. It's just a heads up. I might have been able to drill exactly where they suggested and been fine. I didn't want to take that risk.

takes longer than they say

the instructions show the position of the pieces but none of the pieces are labeled. The center piece is different than the top and bottom pieces that attach to the side (make sure the center piece with wood dowels in it has wide slots on both sides. It took some good wallops with a rubber mallet to get the horizontal pieces into the vertical/side.The slats that go inside the frame in the first and last slot are only tongue/groove on one side. The remainder of those in the middle are tongue and groove both sides. The decorative slats that make up the Z or X are not pre-drilled. Use a small drillbit like 1/16" so that the slats do not split. One of mine did. Took me about 1 hour to assemble not installed yet. Watched one of their videos for hardware install and need to buy a 1x4x6' plank to mount the hardware to my wallboard.
